Our Mission

The Illinois Recovery Workforce Network is a statewide effort led by CRCC in partnership with the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership Board. The Network brings together recovery organizations, workforce development partners, treatment providers, employers, and individuals in recovery to strengthen employment pathways across Illinois.

Our mission is to connect recovery community members to workforce resources, training opportunities, supportive employers, and economic development services that promote long-term stability, recovery, and career growth.

Our Vision: Empowering Recovery Through Employment

We envision a workforce system where individuals in recovery have access to meaningful employment, supportive workplaces, and opportunities for advancement.

The Network works to reduce barriers to employment, address workforce gaps related to substance use disorder, and support recovery-friendly workplace practices across Illinois.

What We Do: Community in Action

The Network meets to identify workforce needs, share resources, and develop strategies that support individuals in recovery and employers.

> Engaging employers in recovery-supportive workforce efforts
> Strengthening collaboration between workforce boards, employers, providers, and community partners
> Creating employment and training pathways for individuals facing barriers to work
> Supporting recovery-friendly workplace policies and practices
> Connecting job seekers to workforce resources, training, and employment opportunities

Trainings and Support: Bridging the Divide

The Network helps identify employers interested in trainings focused on substance use disorder, recovery supports, workplace resources, and recovery-friendly practices.

These trainings help employers better support employees, reduce stigma, and create healthier workplace cultures.

The Network Website: Leveraging Innovation

The Recovery Workforce Network website serves as a statewide hub for individuals in recovery, employers, and workforce partners.

The site connects users to workforce resources, training opportunities, employment supports, events, sign-up forms, and recovery-friendly employer information across Illinois.
