How to Search for a Job

Job seekers can search for current openings on several job sites, including:

> Illinois JobLink — free statewide job board for Illinois job seekers
> Illinois workNet JobFinder — Illinois workforce resources, job search tools, training, and job fair information
> Indeed — search by job title, location, company, or keywords
> CareerOneStop Job Finder — national job search tool with career and training resources
> Company Websites — many employers post jobs directly on their own career pages

Start by entering a job title, keyword, or location. You can search by the type of work you are interested in, such as warehouse, customer service, peer support, driver, food service, healthcare, or office work.

You can also try keywords such as “second chance,” “felony-friendly,” “recovery-friendly,” “background friendly,” “entry-level,” “no experience,” “part-time,” or “full-time.”

Once you find a job that interests you, review the posting carefully and apply directly through the job link.
